Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) has organized a Written Test for recruitment to 1078 posts of Sub-inspector of police (Taluk) under Open & Departmental Quota under Tamil Nadu Police Subordinate Service. TNUSRB has organized SI Exam under two divisions. First for open quota & other for Departmental Quota. Written Test for Open quota (Open Recruitment) was held on 23 May, 2015 while for Departmental Quota Exam was conducted on 24 May, 2015. TN Police aspirants took part in the exam, as it was necessary & mandatory qualification for selection.
TN Police SI Cut Off Marks :
Open Quota: Minimum pass marks/ Cut Off is 35% of 70 marks i.e. 25 marks.
Departmental Quota: Minimum pass marks is 35% of 85 marks i.e. 30 marks.
STAGES OF THE RECRUITMENT :
- Amongst the candidates clearing the Written Examination, the number of candidates called for second stage of Certificate Verification, Physical Measurement Test, Endurance Test and Physical Efficiency Tests will be in the ratio of 1:5 i.e. the number of candidates called for second stage will be restricted to 5 times the number of vacancies in each quota/category.
- Only the candidates clearing the Certificate Verification will be allowed to participate in Physical Measurement Test.
- The candidates who qualify in Physical Measurement Test alone will be allowed to attend Endurance Test.
- The candidates who qualify in Endurance Test alone will be allowed to attend Physical Efficiency Test.
- Candidates who qualify in Physical Efficiency Test will be called for Viva-Voce in the ratio of 1:2 i.e. the number of candidates called for Viva-Voce will be restricted to 2 times the number of vacancies in each quota/category.
PROVISIONAL SELECT LIST :
- Provisional Select List is drawn based on the total marks obtained in the Written Examination, Physical Efficiency Test, Viva-Voce and Special marks subject to communal reservation and total vacancies.
- If there is a tie in marks, the candidate senior in age shall be given priority in selection.
- If the marks secured are equal, preference shall be given to the candidate who is an outstanding scout, having received an award from the President of India.
- If the candidate has qualified in both Departmental Quota and Open Quota, he/she will be considered under Departmental Quota only.
- 20% of all vacancies shall be set apart on preferential basis for the persons who studied graduation in Tamil medium.
- The provisional select list will be published on www.tnusrbexams.net.
